It's been a long break but I'm back! This is an image made on a visit to one of the many diamond cutting factories in the Ramat Gan area of Tel Aviv in Israel. I found this shot interesting as every part of it looks so antique, yet it is all currently in use today. Because of all the diamond dust flying around things tend to turn black pretty quickly. This TV is used to see who is buzzing at the front door of the factory. If the person is recognized then the individual working near this station would press a button under the desk letting the guest in. In the foreground you can see a diamond tang which is used for holding the rough diamond to the cutting wheel when shaping.
