I'm in Israel and working in the diamond district, just outside Tel Aviv, to learn the business. This was taken on my way back from lunch and it's my first attempt at panning.

Last night I met up with some friends in Tel Aviv. One of them was a soldier who was recently fighting in Lebanon. Since it was the first time we were together in over a year we all went out for a very expensive steak dinner and ordered everything we thought we could fit into our stomachs. When we asked for the bill the waiter told us that it had already been covered by a couple sitting a few tables away because of the soldier at our table; supposedly they paid our bill and quickly left the restaurant before we could notice them.
